Amy's has closed and no longer takes custom orders. However, you can contact the brands directly if there is a particular model you are seeking or a custom order you'd like to place. All three brands sell their shoes in US dollars and provide secure online ordering and checkout processes. If you have any questions about ordering, shipping costs, returns policies etc please contact the brands directly. Scroll down for information about import fees.
Turquoise & Turquoise Leon
You can order Turquoise's amazing designs directly from the Istanbul workshop on their website, www.turquoise.me. Payment is usually by card or wire transfer (try Eurochange) as PayPal is not available in Turkey. Turquoise make women's and men's shoes in European sizes and their website lists all their current stock. Delivery takes 1 to 2 weeks. Turquoise do not do custom made-to-order so if the model you want is not listed it is not currently available. However they add new models frequently so do keep checking back, and follow them on Facebook or Instagram for stock announcements.
Mr Tango Shoes
Visit www.mrtangoshoes.com and their sister site www.milenasdesigns.com to view models and colour swatches. If you are in the US you can order directly from these websites. For all other locations including the UK send your order by email (check their contact page) or use the online chat function on their site. They will confirm the total, shipping costs and payment methods (PayPal is recommended). If you're not sure of sizing, check our size charts as a starting point and guidance on taking measurements. Orders take 5 to 6 weeks to arrive (3 if you pay extra for a rush order). They are beautifully made shoes and worth the wait!
Very Fine Dancesport Shoes
The whole Very Fine catalogue is at www.veryfineshoes.com along with loads of information on upcoming new styles, custom ordering and limited editions. They make a wide range of women's shoes, men's shoes and children's shoes as well as vegan models, bridal shoes and really cool boots. A lot of shoes are ready to order but they also do custom orders if you're after a particular colour, heel, decoration etc. You can order on www.danceshoesstore.com or search Very Fine on eBay and Amazon. Delivery is from their warehouse in California and takes around 2 weeks for in-stock shoes and 6 to 8 weeks for custom made.
Import Fees to the UK
Depending on the size of your order you may be charged import tax and a handling charge for a shipment to the UK (and if it's a big order, customs duty as well). One pair of shoes does not usually incur high fees but it depends very much on the total value (including shipping) and carrier. As a general rule if you set aside an extra 20% of the total you've paid this should more than cover you for any fees. So for an order of $150 expect to pay around $30 for fees (this is not guaranteed, just a rough guide!). Turquoise and Mr Tango Shoes usually use UPS or DHL and both these carriers will send you an email notification of any fees and you can pay online and schedule delivery pretty quickly. Very Fine use USPS for despatch and parcels are handed to local carriers for delivery - in the UK this is Parcelforce. They send fee notifications in the post so there is a delay while your parcel waits at customs but once the notification arrives you pay online and delivery happens quickly. In all cases if there is no fee due delivery is fast from the moment your parcel clears customs. If you have any concerns, please check the websites of the shipping carriers. In the UK also check government guidance on receiving goods from abroad.
